Currently half of our prison population is serving sentences for non-violent drug related crimes. There are many more people in jail for other victimless-crimes. A crime cannot occur unless someone harms someone's life, liberty, or justly acquired property. It is time to either pardon, or change the laws to allow for people who commit victimless "crimes" to be freed from prison. This would save the Washington tax payers hundreds of millions of dollars a year. This would allow the State of Washington to significantly lower taxes.
